If you have an ASUS ROG Ally, you can use the Armoury Crate software to control the RGB lighting under the joysticks. One of the cool things you can do is to set the lighting to change colour based on your CPU temperature. This way, you can quickly see how hot your CPU is running at a glance.
Step 1: Navigating to Aura Sync Settings:
To begin the customization process, open Armory Crate and access the settings menu. Within the settings, you’ll find the Aura Sync option.
Step 2: Activating the RC71L:
Once you’ve entered the Aura Sync settings, locate the RC71L and ensure it is active. The RC71L is a vital component that allows you to control and synchronize the RGB lighting effects.
Step 3: Choosing Aura Effects:
Explore the various aura effects available within the settings screen. Whether you prefer a dynamic and vibrant colour scheme or a more subtle and elegant look, Aura Sync has got you covered. Experiment with different effects and find the one that resonates with your personality and style.
Step 4: Selecting “Smart” Mode:
Aura Sync not only enables you to customize individual lighting effects but also empowers your Ally to respond intelligently to different scenarios. By choosing the “Smart” mode, your Ally’s RGB lighting will adjust dynamically based on the CPU temperature. This feature not only enhances the visual appeal but also provides practical functionality by giving you a visual indicator of your Ally’s performance.
Step 5: Styling by CPU Temperature:
To take the customization to the next level, explore the “Style” drop-down menu within the Aura Sync settings. Here, you’ll find an option to synchronize the lighting effects with your CPU temperature.
Now, the colour of your lights will change based on your CPU temperature. The cooler your CPU is running, the lighter the joysticks will be. The hotter your CPU is running, the darker the joysticks will be.
Here are some additional tips for controlling your Ally’s lighting by CPU temperature:
- You can adjust the sensitivity of the temperature sensor by clicking on the Advanced button in the Aura Sync settings.
- You can also choose to change the joystick lighting colour based on a specific CPU temperature threshold. For example, you could set the lights to turn red when your CPU reaches 80 degrees Celsius.
